Who we are

What data we collect

When you use the contact form, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and message. When you register for access to free resources, we collect your first name and email address. Squarespace and associated security and analytics services may also collect limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser or device information, pages visited, and cookie information.

How we use your data

We use your information to respond to questions and messages, provide access to requested resources, operate and improve the website, and comply with applicable legal obligations. We may also send occasional emails about mentoring and leadership content, books and resources where you have agreed to receive them. Our lawful basis for responding to inquiries, providing resources and maintaining the website is our legitimate interest in operating Corex and communicating with readers. We rely on your consent for marketing emails. You may withdraw that consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting robertr@corex.net.

Who processes and stores your data

We do not sell your personal information. Squarespace hosts the website and processes website forms, security information and analytics. Mailchimp receives the first name and email address supplied through the free-resource registration form and manages occasional email updates. Google Drive stores certain form information and hosts downloadable and audio resources. Google reCAPTCHA helps protect forms from spam and misuse. These providers may process information outside the United Kingdom using safeguards recognized under UK data-protection law. We retain contact inquiries only as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain relevant correspondence. Mailing-list details are retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw your consent, or the mailing list is no longer used.

Your rights

Under UK data-protection law, you may have the right to ask for a copy of your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion or restriction, object to certain uses, withdraw your consent to marketing, and ask for certain information to be transferred. These rights depend on the circumstances and are not all absolute. To exercise a right or raise a concern, contact robertr@corex.net. You alsohave the rightto complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and local storage

The site uses essential Squarespace cookies for functionality and security and may use analytics cookies to understand how the website is used. Corex does not place advertising cookies. The Resources page uses local browser storage to remember that a visitor has registered, so returning visitors do not need to register again. Embedded Google Drive content may also use cookies or collect limited technical information under Google’s own privacy arrangements. Links to third-party websites, including Google Drive and Amazon, are governed by those organisations’ own privacy policies.
